| Winston- a cute Corgi |
Wandering the streets alone, senior, scared
and confused. A man in a uniform comes and picks you up. You're
taken to a loud place full of other dogs and put in a kennel with a dog you
never met before. You can't hear that great but you DEFINATELY hear the
barks of all the other dogs. Each day that passes you get more and more
on edge. Not sure what is going to happen or where the dogs are going
that keep leaving the kennels. Not sure if you want to leave the kennel
or not. A blonde lady comes and picks you up. She's taking you out
away from the kennel. Panic ensues. Luckily you get out in the
parking lot with the sun shining and get into a car. The car has LOTS of
smells in it. You still aren’t sure if this is what you want so you start
whining. The blonde lady starts talking and while you aren’t sure what
she is saying, the sound of her voice sounds a lot better than that loud
barking you were getting used to. You finally get to the blond ladies
house where again there are other dogs coming to greet you but nobody is
barking. Just sniffs and wagging tails. She fixes you a comfy bed
of towels which you quickly rest your achy joints on. THIS place is what
you remember! A home! It's been awhile since you were in a home but
you remember the feeling of a warm belly and comfy towels to lay on
again!
Senior dogs have had a full life of different
experiences and while sometimes the experience aren’t ideal, every one deserves
to end up in a warm home-no matter the stage of life they are in. To be
taken care of and enjoy the end of their life.
Winston
was found wandering the roads alone very confused and scared. We don’t know for
how long he was on his own but we knew he needed our help finding a good
retirement home. Winston is easy going and loves attention. He gets along with
everyone and doesn’t take up much space! We are looking for a great home for
him to retire in! He loves to dress to impress the ladies! Winston is fostered
in Huntsville, AL.
